Access Fund
Lower rates and waived fees for families the price does not work for. A family asks, we agree an amount privately, and this pays for it.
Space & equipment
The building and what is in it. Studio kit, sports gear, tables, the room that needs rewiring.
New programs
Starting things that will not pay for themselves yet. A good program often loses money before it finds its feet.
Mentors & youth safety
Background checks, safeguarding training, and the staff time that makes one-to-one mentoring safe to offer.
Growing the model
Documenting what works here so another city can run it without starting from nothing.

The Access Fund
What happens when a family cannot pay.
A scholarship fund is built into the membership model. Email hello@gonexgen.org, or tell any staff member. "The price does not work for us" is a complete request. You do not need to show income to start.
Support ranges from a reduced monthly rate to a full waiver, agreed privately and case by case. It is not automatic, and we would rather say so here than have a family discover it in a conversation. What we can promise is that asking costs nothing, requires no income documentation to begin, and changes nothing about how your family is treated in the building.
The Access Fund is new. It has a real mechanism behind it: requests, awards and a ledger, and it has not yet been running long enough to have a history to show you. When it does, the numbers go on this page.

Membership keeps the lights on. Giving does what fees cannot.
Membership and program fees pay for the ordinary week: staff, rooms, the schedule. That is on purpose. A youth center living only on donations is one bad year from closing. But fees cannot carry a family who cannot pay, buy a camera before the program exists, or fund something for two terms while it finds its feet. That is what a gift is for.
Operations are built to run on earned revenue
Membership and program fees pay the running cost of being open. Predictable, renewable, and not reliant on anyone having a good quarter.
Creators share program economics
People who bring paid programs get paid for them. That grows what is on offer without growing the fundraising target.

Financial help, equipment, and programs started before they can pay for themselves. None can wait for a fee.

We are early enough that inventing an impact number would be easy and worthless. These are the four figures that will appear here, and none of them exists yet.
- How many households the Access Fund supported, and the total awarded
- Which programs launched on donated funds, and whether they still run
- What equipment was bought and what it is used for
- What share of our operating cost came from fees rather than gifts
